Keywords on deviations were built to be an important tool to help discover artwork. But as deviantART grows and strives to create new ways to discover great content, we’ve found that keywords as we currently use them have become underutilized. We think we can do better -- and can make a better experience for the community -- by making some changes.
In the coming month, keywords will transition into tags, and we’ll be improving the way they work. Tags will better surface artwork, allow deviants to form communities around topics, make it easier to find other artists and art appreciators, and increase discoverability.

Celebrate DeviantArt's 15th Birthday!
As DeviantArt enters its 15th year on the Internet, we want to take a moment before blowing out our candles to thank the community for allowing us the honor of hosting the site that you call your home for art. After all, it's the community's 15th birthday, too, and in the past few months, we've been making it our top priority to share with you our plans for the future, celebrate the successes of our past, and look to you for guidance on how best we can serve each of you while entering this new phase of DeviantArt's existence.

Celebrate deviantART's 14th Birthday!
Fourteen years of existence marks a period of growth, change, and introspection — an era of creativity and emotion that leads to long-term personal and artistic development. As we celebrate deviantART's 14th birthday, we want to thank all of you for joining in on the journey of growth and development, from the deviants who have been here from the start to the deviants who are starting out their deviantART experience today.
How has deviantART helped you grow as an individual and/or as an artist? Tell us your story through an art feature Journal!

DeviantArt.com will celebrate its 15th birthday in August 2015. While many online communities have come and gone during the last decade and a half, DeviantArt remains because of our passionate and committed community. In that time, we've celebrated many milestones, and it became apparent we were in need of a place to share our victories and our challenges. And since we want to move toward more complete transparency with the community, what better time to also showcase
Introducing the Watch Feed and Status Updates by Heidi, journal
Introducing the Watch Feed and Status Updates
Connecting you with your watchers.
The Watch Feed creates a sequential stream of activity from your watchlist, including deviations, Journals, Collections, Status Updates, Polls, Forum threads and Critiques. Status Updates let people share quick updates about what they’re working on or what inspires them. Find an awesome deviation? Share it in your Status Update.
As we designed our upcoming Mobile app, we understood the need to build something streamlined and direct to deliver what you want to watch. The Watch Feed was built for smartphones and tablets. While we love the robust tools available in the Message Center — and they
The DeviantArt Mobile App: What's to Come by Heidi, journal
The DeviantArt Mobile App: What's to Come
With the newly introduced DeviantArt Mobile App for Android and iOS, our goal was to bring you a better, fresher, yet familiar DeviantArt experience — providing more power to do what you want and, more importantly, create deeper connections between your friends and favorite artists. We have plenty of plans for the future — including Notes and Push Notifications, which didn’t make it into the first version — and we want to hear what you’d like to see next to help shape the future of the app.

Favorite Featurist - January 2015
What is FF?
FF stands for "Favorite Featurist" which is a community award. That means it is awarded by individuals of deviantArt and not any member of the staff. A FF is an active and friendly deviant who creates features that contribute a lot of positive energy to the community and inspire others to follow their example.
How often is it awarded?
The award will be awarded based on suggestions the team organizing FF checks and approves.
If you receive this award, you will be featured in a monthly article and receive a nice stamp to put on your profile to show off.
How is this project organized?
